This is an easy, one-way trail with a few places to pass and some rocky and washed-out sections. You'll find a handful of dispersed campsites and great views of Idaho Springs. The end of the trail is a gate leading to private property, and there is plenty of room to turn around.

Definitely rocky, not huge rocks but enough to give your suspension a work out. There where some small jagged rocks and spots to screw up a tire, recommend to air down for this. Plus it made it smother ride once we did half way up. At the end there is a privet gate closing the Forest Service Rd, plenty of room to turn around a few rigs. Great short drive for that last minute run.
