Trail Overview
The Ridge Trail is an intermediate dirt bike trail within the Hartman Rocks Trail System. It starts at the end of Tailpipe and ascends up the mountainside. It comes up to a rock pinch point right away, as the trail takes you between two giant boulders. It's just wide enough for your handlebars. You continue to ride on the ridge line above some of the dirt roads. The trail goes through sagebrush and giant boulders, with a steep rock slab section lined with boulders. It's not too difficult of a feature as it is like a ramp, but someone inexperienced might be hitting their pegs on the boulders or struggle to keep momentum. After 0.2 miles, the trail ends, as the western portion of the trail is no longer motorized. The trail ends overlooking a nice view of the Tomichi Creek. You can connect down the road to the Top of the World Trail. The Ridge is a fun little challenge with a great view, although a short trail, and right near the staging area, so it shouldn't be missed when visiting Hartman Rocks.
