Trail Overview
If you start from the north entrance gate, the trail starts as old pavement with large potholes and portions of the pavement missing. After a few miles of this, it does turn to a gravel/dirt surface. There are plenty of camping spots along this route and chances to see wildlife. You can access this trail year-round with any type of vehicle. Keep in mind there is a small fee to pay for use of the area, but with all the spur roads off this main route, it is money well spent.
