Trail Overview
This dirt trail runs through private seasonal cabins, so it's slow going for dust control. The trail is well maintained until reaching the furthest out point where it turns off for a hiking trail and a hydro-electric damn that one can walk out to explore. Watch for some pretty good-sized potholes just before the Box Canyon Hiking Trailhead parking area. There is a decent turnaround and some parking. This is a day-use area only, though. No camping, but there is a nice pull-off in the trees above the river and the dam. This trail is a loop, but the main draw to this one is the dam and the river. Once at the river, it could be run as an out and back. Both ends of the loop are just dirt trails with tall trees. Two bars LTE
