Trail Overview
This off-road trail is a loop just off Highway 21. The beginning and end of the trail have easier access for dispersed camping and possibly a trailer. However, the middle section of this trail is narrow, rocky, and has a small water crossing with a log and some transitions that would not be recommended for trailers unless they are smaller 4x4 trailers. There is access to Cape Horn Creek from offshoots along this trail. There are also quite a few little dispersed campsites in the trees. This trail is just off highway 21, the highway can not be seen from the trail, but in some sections, you may be able to hear it. It's a great area if you're looking for a quick day-use spot or camping with quick, easy access to the highway. The town of Stanley is only 30 minutes, and there are lots of hiking trails and 4x4 trails in the area. No winter maintenance or cellular service.
