Trail Overview
The eastern 2-mile segment of Clayburn Creek is extremely advanced and should only be ridden by expert riders. The west end of the trail starts at the intersection with Lava Ridge, and it drops down 1,000 feet elevation to the intersection with 50308 road. This section features tight, exposed, technical switchbacks with steep, loose, rocky, and rutted areas, making this entire section of the trail very challenging. The initial elevation loss is significant, and although the rest of the trail is not as steep, it remains technical and rocky.
