Trail Overview
This 8-mile trail is an extension of the Southfork Eightmile Trail, which originated in the Lemhi Valley on the north side of the divide. This trail (the North Creek Trail) takes the rider from the divide to the floor of the Pahsimaroi Valley. Together, these two trails provide a route that transects the entire height and breadth of the Lemhi Mountain Range. This is a very scenic, pleasant trail. Much of this trail appears to have been built on old logging or mining roads, resulting from generally gentler grades and broader trails. The exceptions to this circumstance are several transects across scree slopes. Also, the last 0.3 miles of the trail in the Pahsimaroi Valley are pretty rocky.
