Trail Overview
To access Sand-Moose OHV trail 8234, turn off of Forest Service road 381 and go past a parking area that has camping and a pit toilet. This is a gated road only open to 50" ATV riding after May 15th in the spring and summer. The trail is a forest service-maintained dirt trail with some built-in high mounds to help with runoff. It is an awesome ride through the forest, with great views, that will loop back to a different point on Road 381, but we got stopped by a very large tree about 4 miles along the trail route. This track stops just before a junction where this trail (8234) continues and trail 8233 takes off. There is lots of signage along the way.

Difficulty
This is a trail for 50" ATVs and dirt bikes but has some pull-off spots. The Forest Service maintains this trail, but we did encounter a newly fallen tree.
