This is a ridgeline trail for its entire 2.8-mile length. The trail traverses a nice mixture of open grassy ridgeline terrain and tread that twists and turns through stands of mixed conifers. This trail tops out at about 7,500 feet of elevation, so there are abundant opportunities for panoramic views.
