Trail Overview
This stunning out-and-back trail begins down in a canyon surrounded by scrub brush and low sagebrush. There are field swallows flying and snatching up bugs. If you are lucky, you might spot some antelope making their way across the valley. The higher up into the hills the trail goes, the more wildflowers start popping with color. It's a beautiful area with outstanding views in all directions. Eventually, the trail becomes a very rough two-track. Passing from BLM into National Forest, the trail turns into pines. A cozy little camping spot is at the very end in the trees with no cell service and a lot of birds singing. A few bars of Verizon LTE are in the valley, fading to none by camp.

Difficulty
The last part of the trail heading up into the canyon is very narrow, with no were to pull over or turn around until the very end. The second half of the trail has more rocks in the grass to watch out for. Paint damage may be possible in the pines towards the end.
