Trail Overview
Smiley Creek Road (70077) starts through the town of Smiley Creek, just north of the Smiley Creek Lodge. It's a 6.3-mile-long easy dirt road mostly used to access camping and the West Fork Big Smokey Creek Single Track, but as of July 2024, the road is closed after 5.5 miles where maintenance is being done at a culvert where the road has collapsed. The road is really easy the entire way, accessing lots of beautiful camping spots in wide open meadows, easy enough for travel trailers and big RVs. There are several dips and bumps where you would want high clearance, and a couple of rockier sections the farther south you go. It goes through an old burn area but still has really amazing views of the Smoky Mountains. The first bit of the trail goes through a residential area, so please go slow as you pass the homes. This road is open 5/1 -11/30.

Difficulty
This trail is easy as it is mostly a graded road, but starts to get a bit rockier with bumps and dips as you continue south that you'll want high clearance for.
