Trail Overview
This is an easy trail that starts in Secesh and runs up to the War Eagle Lookout Tower at 8214 feet in elevation. This Lookout tower is staffed during the summer months by the Forest Service. It has incredible views and plenty of room to park your rig. Once leaving the Lookout Tower follow the trail down and you will go by Chimney Rock. There are areas on the trail to disperse camp and swim in the creek. Prior to starting the trail head over to Secesh Stage Stop for a bite to eat. Great place to eat and or rent a cabin. This is an easy dirt trail that most vehicles can do in Summer. In Winter this would require 4WD. Part of this trail does go through an old burn area but is still a pretty area.
