Trail Overview

This trail is an offshoot/access trail for the already published Caribou Loop trail. The trail is passable with high clearance 4x4, SxS, and dirt bikes. This is a steep trail through dense timber, opening up onto the northwest side of Caribou Mountain, giving access to the Caribou Mountain Trail. The trail is labeled as 50018 by the Forest Service, with a marker along the trail.

Difficulty

This trail is a 5 or 6 for stock full-size rigs, and a 4 or 5 for built 4x4s and stock SxSs. There is a pretty significant rock garden towards the top of trail, which gets really narrow in a couple spots and requires 4-low. The Forest Service has recently ran a bulldozer down the trail, making the rest of the trail mild other than the steepness of the grade going up or down.
