Trail Overview

A scenic gravel lane travels through part of the Eastern Kentucky University campus. This trail goes through farmland to reach the Taylor Fork Ecological Area. Along the way, you will see wildlife, remnants of old farm implements, and training facilities of the Fire & Safety Program at EKU. Also, to note, EKU maintains a large area for trail walking and running.

This is a gravel lane that consists of a few small potholes. This lane is maintained by Eastern Kentucky University. There is no need for 4WD; any licensed vehicle will be able to manage this lane.

From the Eastern Kentucky Bypass in Richmond, Kentucky, turn into the EKU Campus at Kit Carson Drive. From there, McKinney Skills Drive next to the Ashland Building will take you to Hancock Taylor Lane, which is the trail.
