Trail Overview

From the mouth of Jackson Branch at Silver Creek, you will ascend a narrow rock trail to the power line clearing and travel down Woodland Heights Road, or you can travel in the opposite direction as well. This route has a scenic overhanging rock cliff or cascade. Along the route are several old barns and a log cabin.

Difficulty

The hill climb or descent has several ledges that will place you off camber and are tight and narrow. Depending on the weather and time of year, parts of Silver Creek or Jackson Branch may have deep water to maneuver.

Access Description

To ascend the trail, enter at the mouth of Jackson Branch at Silver Creek. Once you start up the creek, a trail on the left takes you up the hill to the power lines and out at Woodland Heights Road. If you are coming from Whitlock Road, take Woodland Heights Road, which will end at the power lines. You can drop over the hill on the trail and go to Jackson Branch.
