Trail Overview

A trail on the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, this moderately challenging trail has some hill climbs with rock ledges and off-camber climbs through dense, leaf-littered trails that can be slick with non-off-road tires. This trail is beautiful with several abandoned houses along the way and connects some of the northern loop of the DBBB.

Difficulty

There are a couple of spots where a climb up the hills is fairly steep, with some rocks approximately a foot and a half tall. There are also some deep mud holes.

Nice trail. The wife and I freaked a bit completing the rock and rutted hill. We have a Gladiator Rubicon and rear lockers came in handy.

Trail was in normal condition as expected. There is a spot where the trail is beginning to wash out on both sides. a couple more rains it may not be passable. There is some heavy rutting in I think 2-3 spots that axles will drag, the switch back with culvert, I feel like the culvert was a little more mangled this week than prior visit. Other than that it’s a great trail, I wish people would quit painting on the overhang rock face. I drive a 23 gladiator Mojave that’s all stock on factory 33” AT tires. There are a couple spots where my trailer hitch hits but that’s to be expected other than that, great time.
