Trail Overview
High Rollway Trail (4-3/4) is an incredible route not because of the trail itself, but the destination it leads to. Most of the trail consists of sand and dirt. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. The end of this trail is a parking area that's home to a hiking trailhead for the North Country Trail. A short little walk along the trail leads you to an amazing overlook of the High Rollway. You'll be encompassed by fantastic views overlooking a sandy bluff on a bend in the Manistee River. It's truly breathtaking. There are multiple viewing locations along the trail. This is a "must do" trail for the spectacular views.
