Trail Overview
Mount Marquette Road is a trail just outside of downtown Marquette. This trail is a one-way road with the start point being just off M-41. This is the starting trailhead to many hiking trails and mountain biking trails, so be aware of your surroundings and keep your speed in check. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding woods as you climb 479 feet to the top of Mount Marquette. At the top, you will find two pull-offs, each offering ample parking as well as amazing views of downtown Marquette, Lake Superior, and the surrounding wilderness. Take a break and drink your coffee with the view or bring lunch or dinner for a picnic. At the end of the trail, the speed limit is 10 mph due to the surrounding camping at Rippling River Resort.
