NFS 6055/5117

Trail Overview

NFS 6055/5117 is a fun and easy offroad trail near Walgamor Corners. The trail is a combination of sand, dirt, and grass, and wanders through a marvelous section of the Manistee National Forest. This trail is your classical Michigan two-track. To get to this trail, you will have taken a portion of NFS 5116. This trail will be very similar. You'll be greeted by a portion of tall red pine trees that are breathtaking. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There is a fair amount of overgrowth along the trail. Please use caution. Regardless of the conditions, this is an awesome trail! This trail runs alongside private property. Please respect the local landowners and stick to the trail.
