Trail Overview
NFS 7374 is a muddy and sandy bidirectional trail located within the Manistee National Forest. It's located just around the corner from Caberfae Peaks Ski & Golf Resort! Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Starting from the south end, you'll begin wheeling through several mud holes. Some are deeper than others and are dependent on recent conditions and the amount of traffic. Be sure to use caution here. When you get 0.7 miles in from the south end, you'll cross over a powerline road/trail. It's very sandy here. Just use good judgment to get through the soft sand. As you continue down the trail you'll have to navigate through a sandy washed out section. It's not difficult, but something to be noted. Those three items are what give this trail a rating of 3. One last thing to mention is this trail is a seasonal trail that is used for snowmobiling during the winter months. Be sure to check out NFS 7374. You won't regret it!
