Trail Overview
NFS 7724 is a fun and scenic trail located within the Manistee National Forest. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this sandy trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. The MCCCT also crosses over this track. Use caution at the sandy washed-out hill climb. Something else unique about this trail is that it crosses over some old railroad tracks. There are a few washboard sections to keep an eye out for. Also, along this trail, you'll find a large dispersed campsite. If you plan on camping off this trail, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and please seek more information at the local DNR Office/Ranger Station prior to camping here. One last thing to mention is this trail is a seasonal trail that is used for snowmobiling during the winter months. Be sure to check out NFS 7724. You won't regret it!
