Trail Overview
NFS 7859 is an easy winding scenic trail located within the Manistee National Forest. Traversing the trail under a canopy of trees, you're sure to have a great time. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. There are a few washboard sections to keep an eye out for during your trek. Be sure to enjoy the sandy berms along the trail. You will encounter several mud holes. One last thing to mention is this trail is a seasonal trail that is used for snowmobiling during the winter months. Regardless of the conditions, this is an awesome trail!
