Trail Overview
National Forest Service Trail 9218 is a unique and easy off-road trail for beginners. Located off North Poplar Avenue, this route is easily accessible. This trail is typically easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt and weaves through an exquisite section of the Manistee National Forest with great fall foliage. The tall Michigan red pine trees are a gorgeous sight along this trail. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. Regardless of the conditions, this is an awesome trail!
