Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 9704 is an easy, fun off-road trail. This trail is located just around the corner from the Woodland Park area, thus making this route easily accessible. This trail is very easy with nothing technical. Most of the trail is a combination of sand and dirt and weaves through a beautiful forest with great fall foliage. This trail isn't traveled as often and has some sections that can get a bit tight with overgrowth. Please use caution if you're wary of pinstripes. This trail also has a couple of spur trails, NFS 9007 and 9008. These are just connecting trails. NFS 9704 crosses over the MCCCT Trail, which is a motorbike-only trail. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause mud/water holes that can get rutted out quickly. There are a couple of dispersed campsites along the trail. There is also a slight elevation change throughout this track as well. Take this trail and connect it with nearby NFS 9705 for a fun loop. Enjoy this track!
