Trail Overview
This is a sandy and hard-packed forest road that leads right to the shores of Lake Superior. The trail gets tighter the closer you get to the lake, so watch for oncoming traffic. The walk from the parking down to the lake is quite steep and may be difficult for some people. Just a few minutes from Grand Marais, this trail makes for a great spot for after-dinner sunsets.

This is not a difficult trail at all. There is some deeper loose sand that may be difficult for cars, but any 4x4 vehicle should be able do this route with no problem.
