Trail Overview
Tree Root Forest Trail is a forestry scenic off-road trail located within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Most of the trail consists of sand and dirt. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. This trail doesn't see a lot of traffic and therefore has a decent amount of overgrowth. This also means that after recent bad weather, downed trees are a high possibility. Come prepared. The trail traverses over a lot of exposed tree roots, hence the name. Be ready for a bumpy ride! Regardless of the conditions, this is a great trail with other cool trails nearby!
