Trail Overview
The Bangtail Creek Loop Trail is a straightforward ATV trail open June 16th to Oct 14th to vehicles 50" or less. It starts on a mountain top as a grassy, overgrown two-track. The trail's most challenging part is small ruts, small loose rocks, and wide gradual switchbacks. Sometimes, there are sudden, tighter turns. The beginning goes through grassy rolling hills, and later, it gets into the pine trees. It goes along a shelf edge of a mountainside, but it's super wide. Doing this trail as an out and back would be a total of 12 miles because it is a lollipop shape. It goes 4 miles to the start of the loop, loops for 4 miles, and then 4 miles back to the start.
