Trail Overview
This longer trail is mostly straightforward. However, the map shows a spaghetti of trails in the area. Most of them seem to be gated old logging roads. Many show evidence of fire rings and people camping in these pullouts. A keen eye will spot Deer, Elk, small rodents, and maybe even a Bear. Be aware of late spring and early autumn snow. There is also a strong possibility of clearing trees in the spring after a storm to make the road passable. Once at the summit, though, the views are 360o and worth any difficulty getting there. Stop and stay a while and watch the clouds roll by. You won't be disappointed. There are two bars of cell service at the very top, but none on the way.
