Trail Overview
This is a short out and back trail with stunning views of the rock formations up the canyon. The middle portion of the trail is through private land. At the end of the trail is a larger dirt parking area that can accommodate horse trailers as well as passenger cars. There is access to the Blodgett Hiking trail from the parking area. Just beyond the hiking trailhead is a little wooden bridge that leads to the Blodgett Campground. It is paved and a pay-for campground with picnic tables and metal fire rings. The campsites are tucked into the trees and a few are right along the creek. There is also a day-use parking area that has creek access. This trail has stunning rock formations. Blodgett Campground consists of 5 campsites, 1 walk-in site, plus 1 host site, complete with picnic tables, fire rings, and a vault toilet. There are two accessible campsites. The campground rests under the towering cliff faces of Blodgett Canyon which are very popular to rock climbers. Blodgett Canyon Picnic Area is across Blodgett Creek. The campground can accommodate RV's or trailers to 45 feet.
