Trail Overview
The Cinnamon Trail starts on the east end at the Cinnamon Creek Trailhead. It climbs up into aspen trees through beautiful meadows, on a fast and flowy single track that is smooth and narrow. There are several muddy spots that are rutted, and there are small embedded boulders that you have to ride over or around. Watch out for roots across the trail, and a couple of downed logs. There's some mild exposure while the trail side-hills around the mountain slopes. It comes up to some steep switchbacks. They aren't too tight, but they do have some embedded rock in the surface, so it requires some experience to get around the switchbacks. You might see hikers on this trail heading up to the Cinnamon Lookout Tower trail, which is a nonmotorized trail. This trail goes all the way to the intersection with the Lizard Lakes, Cinnamon Meadow, and Dead Horse Creek singletracks. It's open 7/16 - 12/1 to motorized use.
