Coal Creek

Trail Overview

This is an easy trail into the mountains with a few side trails. There are a few dispersed camping spots scattered around. The trail is generally easy with plentiful pullouts for oncoming traffic and ends at a very narrow section. It's best to turn a full-size vehicle around right before the last section. This would also make a great camping spot. There are amazing views of the Painted Rocks area as you head up. It may be impassable in winter and there is no cell service.

This road is single lane with pullouts for oncoming traffic. There is no winter maintenance and it may be mucky when wet.
