Trail Overview
From the Plains and Hot Springs intersection cutoff, this gravel road takes you along the high ridge running in a north/south direction. There are several offshoots from this section if one is willing to explore and spend a day driving around. Along the way, there is a beautiful small meadow that offers an area to cool off in the water or take a break for lunch. Lots of old growth in this area does limit views of the valley below. This track is 100% on CS&KT Tribal Lands. All recreational activities on tribal-owned lands require a non-member person over the age of 11 to purchase a Tribal Conservation Permit. The website for information is http://csktnrd.org/fwrc/recreation.

Difficulty
Expect dirt, rocks, and gravel. Some areas do present water crossings and mud pits with ruts. There are some gentle grades. The road is wide enough in most areas if vehicles need to pass each other. Depending on the time of year, this route can accommodate most motorized vehicles but is not maintained during snowy winter months.
