Trail Overview
The route is gravel, stone, and loose rock in different areas along the route. The route is very scenic along the way as you make your climb from 2700' up to 6200'. The route might be dusty or damp depending on the weather. Snow could make it impassible, if going too early in the spring or summer. Bear, Deer, Moose, and other wildlife can be seen at times on the route. Berries can be found and picked in the later months of summer. One part of the route will take you through a burned-out section of forest. Cell Service is hit-and-miss along the route. Fuel up in Superior before starting out on the route. There are many scenic spots along the way to stop for a packed lunch. Quinn's Hot Springs on Hwy 135 is just past the Segel Road campground.
