Trail Overview

This is a well maintained gravel road that meanders through Glacier National Park north of Lake McDonald. Many areas around this road have experienced a wild fire in recent history and caution should be taken for downed trees after storms. This road is not heavily traveled and does provide incredible sunset views from overlook points scattered along the road. There are several hiking, biking and horseback riding trailheads to access off the road before ending at a closed gate.

Access Description

This road can be accessed from the West Glacier NP entrance. Turn left heading north on Camas rd. After passing Grist Rd turn right at Fish Creek Campground rd and follow it until you reach Fish Creek Campground. Continue left past Fish Creek Campground to merge onto Inside North Fork Rd.
