Trail Overview
Mill Creek Road is a very well-maintained gravel road that accesses several trailheads and campgrounds in the Gallatin National Forest. This road is a wide gravel road, except for the last three miles, in which the road narrows down to a single-vehicle-width road. This part of the road is very narrow at times and ascends a sharp drop-off, but it is always well maintained. The road ends at a parking lot with two trailheads that go into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. There are facilities at Anderson Campground, which is toward the end of the road. Cell service is nonexistent along the entire route.
