Trail Overview
This is an easy grated out and back dirt road begins through some open range before turning up into the mountains. Watch for range cattle on the road early in the trail. Once the trail starts heading up into the mountains a creek appears along the left side of the trail. There are a couple of areas along the trail one could pull off and access the creek. The road gets a bit twisty halfway up and is a little narrower for 2 cars to pass. This trail passes some private residences and a private hot spring resort, the Potosi Hot Springs Resort, they offer four rustic cabin rentals and there is no day use for their hot springs. One must be an overnight guest. Just past the Potosi Resort the trail gets a little bumpier but not difficult and ends at a nice dispersed camping area. No official fire rings or amenities, but Willow Creek runs through the campsites. There are a number of nice hikes in the area.
