Trail Overview
This is a short out-and-back dirt trail up one of the valleys with stunning panoramic views. There was a fire through the valley at some point that burned all the trees opening up what can be seen of the rock formations and the mountains. Roaring Lion Creek runs through the valley. At the end of the trail is a larger parking area and access to the Roaring Lion Hiking trail. Take this a short distance down on foot to access the creek. Two other hiking trails can be accessed from this driving trail, Sawtooth Creek Trailhead, and Ward Mountain Trailhead. This is a nice gravel and dirt road easily accessed by 2wd and AWD vehicles, not maintained in winter.
