Trail Overview

This is a nice easy trail that takes you from Cold Springs station to the ghost town of Berlin. Berlin is a State park, OHV friendly, and also has an Ichthyosaur shed with fossils. The road is very wide, and winds through some canyons and easy creek beds, as well as some nice easy water crossings. This is a ride for some music and good friends. Some of the stretches are VERY long and straight. You will have to pay to park at Berlin.

Difficulty

Very nice, wide road. Several of the trails are "Two-track" near cold springs, but still very easy.

History

The old pony express route came thorough here, and Cold springs station was one of the stops. Very close to the Cold Springs Station Resort are the ruins from the original Cold Springs stop for the pony express.
