Trail Overview
This track is the northern portion of road "CC East Primitive" (36), which leads northward up to the peninsula. The trail is an easy dirt road with nothing of difficulty to note. The trail sign mentions "4x4 Recommended," but this could be as a "just in case" for the remote location. The eastern side of the trail offers a beautiful desert landscape while the western offers striking views of the Colorado River. Towards the end of the trail (north), the trail Y's with the track leading to the left towards the Colorado River side. To the right is Restoration Point Road which leads to the Arizona Bay side. Both end locations have fire rings indicating primitive camping. Please do not drive/camp at the locations marked by "No Motor Vehicles," despite the visible tire tracks and fire rings beyond the sign. Restoration attempts are underway and cooperation with this will help keep these public trails and locations open. Cell service is intermittent to non-existent way out here. Disconnect and enjoy the scenery!
