Trail Overview
This short trail is a mix of single track and road on BLM land that goes past the Front Site Firearms Training Institute. It's a mix of hard pack dirt with loose rock, graded jeep road, bentonite hills, and softer sandier trail. From the north end, it starts on a jeep road, but the single track peels off of the jeep road for a section. The single track tees back into the jeep road before you come to an intersection with a signed warning not to enter the area for the Firearms Training Institute. The jeep road continues to a view over this badlands desert terrain, and you can see lots of unique dirt bluffs along the rolling desert hills. The road makes a loop and doubles back, but there are lots of other jeep roads and single track trails to explore in this area that you can connect to. There is nothing difficult on this trail.
