Snow Valley Road West crosses the expanse of the Tule Desert, a subsection of the eastern Mojave Desert that runs along the Utah state border. The road is suitable for any form of transport and is generally maintained by the Nevada Department of Transportation. The trail acts as an east/west connector between Old Highway 91 and Carp Road. As the elevation drops along the eastern end of Snow Valley Road, the Joshua Tree Forest dissipates into scrub brush. This trail connects with Rainbow Pass Road, eventually coming out on Carp Road at Lyman Crossing. Cell phone service is intermittent. The nearest services are in Bunkerville or Mesquite along Interstate 15.
