Trail Overview
This trail is only suitable during dry weather. This is a connector route connecting Black Rock Playa to Oregon's Alvord Playa and Steens Mountain through the Summit Lake Indian Reservation. This route is generally graded gravel, but mud may be encountered during the rainy season. Highlights include multiple hot springs, and access to wilderness study areas on either side. This area is hot in the summer, and there are very little resources and no services. Numerous spots in this area become impassable in winter and spring. Do not attempt to travel through this area in wet weather.
