Trail Overview
Kennedy Canyon begins on a lightly rutted but well-maintained dirt two-track that later changes to a more rocky surface. The sections of small rock gardens can have obstacles up to 18 inches in size, but the trail is wide enough to avoid them if needed. Further into the trail, there are sections of dirt with deeper ruts and some minor off-camber sections. The trail does have areas wide enough to pass but is primarily single-vehicle-wide. Dispersed camping is permitted, but only within the last mile towards the east where the trail intersects FSR-644. This trail will be easily completed by most 4WD and 4x4 vehicles. There is no cell service except for the last 3 miles of the trail where an extremely weak service signal can be found in small spots.

Difficulty
Drivers will encounter deep ruts in small sections of the trail, as well as larger rock formations with rocks up to 18 inches in size. Dirt surfaces will be very soft mud after rains or snowmelt; they're best to traverse while dry.
