Trail Overview
Hertz Road entry just off of Buck Hill Road is a narrow entry with 2-car parking. The trail enters Buck Hill State Forest and winds through some great scenery. During spring and fall makes for some wet trails but not overwhelming, with some ruts and standing water 10" deep. Most light SUVs can make this trek as long as they have some front bumper clearance and 4x4. The trail is especially beautiful during the peak season of fall colors around mid to late September. This is a fun little trail with a few spots to have some lunch.

This trail is a narrow, uneven, rutted trail. At the Hertz Road start, the trail turns into a maintained wider gravel trail on Buck Hill Truck Trail. Some pinstriping could happen on wider vehicles, tow trailers are not recommended due to dead-end turn arounds.
