Trail Overview
Beaverdam Bald is in the Cherokee National Forest. Its road ID number is 24. This road rides along a mountain crest with views of the surrounding mountains on both sides. There are overlooks along the way that are worth stopping and soaking in the beauty that is around you. This trail is an easy trail most of the way with a steep hill climb at the end but any SUV or off-road capable rig will be fine at climbing. At the top when leaves and vegetation are dormant during winter months there are some beautiful views. However, in summer or months of the year when leaves or on the trees make it is difficult to see much. The bald makes a good place to stop and explore a bit before making the trek back down the mountain.
