Trail Overview
Bogue Road is another hard-pack road leading to more Croatan National Forest areas. Along the road is a vast hunting land area and numerous side trails. The end of the road turns into a tight-looking double-track trail that may not be accessible or a legal road or trail. The road is accessible by most street-legal cars, as it is mostly flat with only a few potholes. Because the road is smooth, it can be driven relatively fast; however, watch for animals or people walking and other cars. This appears to be one of the main routes or access roads to the Pettiford Creek State Forest trails. Although these are fun trails and can be explored, they can be challenging, and little information is known and documented about their legality.
