Trail Overview
This route is a way to access one of the most remote areas in Oregon. It gets extreme heat as well as extreme cold and has water crossings which can be quite high until May. The road itself is relatively moderate, but it starts out with a steep and long grade, and the road has areas with ruts and mandatory water crossings. Vehicle considerations for water crossings depend on the time of year, but in summer and fall, any 4x4 vehicle can cross with relative ease. 2 spares, water, fuel, and camping equipment are necessary for this trail as it is extremely remote and services are a long-distance away.
