Trail Overview

The Lower Butte Loops, also known as FSR 1105, is a pretty straightforward 6.8-mile trail winding through dense pine needle-covered trails. Roll down your windows and take in the crisp smells of the pines as you navigate through. There are a couple of areas where the trail gets tight from downed trees that have been cut and cleared and others where there are minor ruts. There are some smaller-circumference downed trees that have been cleared, so keep an eye out for those little fellas from time to time. On cloudy days, the lighting and trees make for some great photos of the rig as well. The exit back onto the main road is a steep ascent and slightly overgrown.
