This is just a small side spur of Ashland 97. Ashland 97 is a wide bulldozed road that goes right along the edge of the bonded coal area. The path is usually wet and has muddy areas and ruts. This is the only way up to the trails on this side of the mining and it branches off into other trails. The spur is about half way through the Ashland 97 trail.
