The Shaft Trail is a lengthy ascent with loose terrain. On certain days, an average vehicle can easily crawl up, but in wet or colder conditions, it can become nearly impossible. Due to its challenging nature, the trail carries a high rating, making it potentially hazardous. It is not recommended for beginners or vehicles lacking mechanical soundness. A longer wheelbase and adequate power can enhance safety and ease during this climb. The trail can be navigated both up and down.
